We are a registered charity, run by a management committee made up of parents/carers, staff, and members of the wider community.
Based within Kirkstall St Stephen’s C of E Primary school grounds, we have a large multi-zoned space with a secure covered all weather outdoor space. In addition, we have use of the school’s playground.
We have recently re-registered with Ofsted as a CIO and are a member of the Early Years Alliance. We were graded ‘Good’ at our last inspection in October 2018 before re-registration. Our inspection report can be found on the Ofsted website (www.ofsted.gov.uk)
At Kirkstall St Stephens Pre-School, we believe that every child is unique and deserves individualised attention and care. We follow in the moment planning, encouraging creativity, exploration, and learning through play.
Our Goals:
· To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age.
· To provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment.
· To work within a framework that ensures equality for all children and families.
· To be a supportive inclusive environment for parents, children and the community.
Every day a diverse range of inspiring activities are provided for your child. They can freely move from one activity to another. They are supported with learning through developing their natural curiosity.
Our combination of structured and child led activities fire their imagination.
We enjoy celebrating different cultures, religious festivals and children’s birthdays throughout the year. We happily support and include children with additional needs and are qualified to cater for their requirements.
We operate a Key Person system ensuring that your child receives continuous individual care in the pre-school.
