At Kirkstall St Stephens Preschool we value parent partnership. We believe that you as parents and carers should be heavily involved in your child's pre-school life.

We encourage parent partnership in a numbers of ways.

Stay & Play sessions

We offer regular Stay & Play sessions for parents and carers to attend.

The dates for these will be sent out on our newsletters.

Marvin the Monkey

To encourage more links with home, we have put together an activity for your child to take home. The pack includes a toy monkey called Marvin and a diary. Your child can take the pack home for the weekend or a holiday, and we ask parents to complete the dairy with details of what Marvin has done. We share this information with the other children during Circle Time.

Your Childs Learning Journey Folders

This is a very special book recording your child’s development through photographs, written observations and your child’s work. As a parent/carer you are the most important person involved in your child’s development.

We as a staff team value this and want to work in partnership with you to develop this special record of your child’s progress both at home and whilst attending pre-school.

We really appreciate it if you could add any special moments that your child has had out of pre-school or ask your child’s key person who will support you with adding this valuable information. Together we can make this a fantastic collection of your child’s experiences in pre-school to keep forever.

Social Media

We have both public and private Facebook pages. The private page is for parents and carers of pre-school children only. On this page we post updates and photographs of what we have been up to in pre-school, and important information.
